Our Founder

Jennifer Perez Medina is a University of Houston graduate with a background in news writing, editing and public relations. She has worked in the private and education sectors as a writer and PR specialist with over 10 years of communications, copywriting and media experience.

She founded The Socially Connected, a consulting firm that focuses on strategic content for creatives. Jennifer uses a combination of traditional PR methods and modern social strategies to implement services such as social media strategy, content creation for social media platforms, and influencer and event marketing for women-owned businesses.

Jennifer believes that every business owner should build a company that makes them proud. She helps women business owners create a genuine connection with their audience so they can be seen and paid as a trustworthy expert.

On her time off, she loves spending time with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include blogging, social media, attending her kids’ sporting events, crafting DIYs for her home and attending Houston events. She’s a member of the Houston Latina Bloggers, her son’s school Parent Teacher Association and recently launched Career Closet-an initiative to help high school girls learn more about life after high school.She also finds time to manage another business with her husband, The Cage Houston.
